Privacy Policy — QuizForFun

QuizForFun ("we", "our", or "us") operates the QuizForFun Android application (package name com.quizforfun.app). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it is shared, and your choices.
Information We Collect
- Account information (optional): If you sign in with Google, we receive your profile name, email address, and Google account ID to create and manage your account.
- Usage and analytics data: We collect app interaction events and device/app information (such as OS version and app version) via Google Firebase Analytics to help us improve the app.
- Advertising data: Google AdMob may use your device’s advertising ID and basic device information to serve ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud/abuse.
- On‑device storage: The app stores quiz content cache, "seen questions", and your scores locally on your device using a Room database. This data is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
How We Use Information
- Provide and improve app features (quiz creation, avoiding repeated questions, performance).
- Authenticate users and maintain accounts when you sign in with Google.
- Measure usage, diagnose issues, and enhance stability and reliability.
- Serve advertisements and prevent fraud and abuse.
- Maintain security and protect our users.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the app:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Analytics, Firestore/Realtime Database)
- Google AdMob (advertising and fraud prevention)
- Google Sign‑In (account authentication)
Data Retention
- On‑device: Local data (quiz cache, seen questions, scores) remains on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
- Cloud: If you sign in, limited account and usage information may be stored with Firebase and retained while your account is active. You can request deletion (see "Your Choices").
Security
We use industry‑standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (TLS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we strive to protect your information.
Your Choices
- You can use the app without signing in, or sign out at any time.
- You may request access or deletion of your account‑related data via the developer contact email published on our Google Play store listing.
- Control ad personalization in Android settings (Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization or Delete advertising ID).
Children’s Privacy
The app is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
International Transfers
Data may be processed in countries where Google services operate. These locations may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with the new effective date on this page.
